Myotherapy for dogs is performed on dogs in their home environment for maximum comfort and relatation. Myotherapy is is a muscle therapy which involves palpation of “trigger points” (knots of muscle bound by lactic acid and other toxins) and release techniques for these points, as well as assisted stretches to re-train muscles to lengthen and relax. Owners are then instructed exercises to keep the dog on the path to healing.
