
Dr. Konnie Wendt DVM, DACT
Visiting Vet is excited to welcome our newest member, Dr. Konnie Wendt, DVM, DACT! Dr. Wendt was born and raised in South Dakota. She earned her bachelors degree and doctorate of veterinary medicine from Colorado State University. After veterinary school, she spent 6 years in private, mixed animal practice before returning to academia to specialize in reproduction.
Dr. Wendt attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a residency program in reproduction. She is board certified in veterinary reproduction with a focus on equine reproduction. Since becoming boarded in theriogenology, Dr. Wendt has been in private practice specializing in equine reproduction. In addition to performing common reproductive procedures (breeding soundness examinations, artificial insemination, stallion collection), she enjoys challenging cases and routinely performs embryo transfers.As a board certified specialist in reproduction, Dr. Wendt also has extensive training in canine reproduction including hormone monitoring, artificial insemination, surgical implantation, and c-sections.
In her spare time, Dr. Wendt enjoys spending time with her husband, Bruce, horseback riding, and exploring the great outdoors of Ohio.
